My mom who is type 2 introduced me to Dressing your Truth about 2 years ago. And my journey discovering which type I am has been funny. We both knew what I wasn't, and other people thought I was type 1. And my Type 4 was really right in front of me the whole entire time. Because, through out my whole life, I've felt more mature than some that were my same age. Most of the people I get along with are those that are older than me, and those that are younger than me, and act older than what they are. I've always liked being cute, but liked being simple and structured. I very rarely do what my type 1 youngest sister does. Her expressions as a type 1 aren't any where close to how I was as a child. My mom always told me that I expressed as a type 2, but I've tried on her clothes, and as a type four in type 2 clothing or hair styles. Not a good combination. Remember my story last year where I practically dressed all 4 types with my work outfit. I had type 2 hair due, type 1 make-up on( I thought I was type 1 last year), and my work uniform. I felt sluggish, confused, and really tired, totally not myself at all! I finally thought to myself screw this. I was so desperate to put my hair up that I grabbed a rubber band so that I get my tasks done in a timely manner. I felt so much better I felt closer to normal.
Another thing I realized was that my dominant trait was not type 1 is; I despise gold with the passion. If I have a little bit of gold on something, I refuse to wear it. I avoid gold like the plague. I am a strait up silver/white gold jewelry girl. So I rebelled against my type 1 and wore black and anything I had that was bold. And it was so refreshing, it felt so good! Oh I loved it. This was last summer. And I tended to go back and forth between type 4 and type 1 till maybe about a month ago, where I felt I finally accepted my type 4 energy. I had to reflect on how I've observed myself through out my life, and heard stories from my mom. I'm not motivated, I don't like to be told by other people who I am "supposed" to be. I am my own person and I want to figure out which energy I am at my own time and place, and pace. I don't like it! My parents know it, and heck my husband knows it. I like to figure things out on my own. And that can be a strength and a weakness. Why? Because, I get to a point where I really can't find my answer. And I get too prideful to just ask someone. I don't exactly have a Before/ After picture but I have a recent picture to show me in type 4 with what I have. I have this Jacket that I absolutely love from when I was on Swim Team in High School. I still wear it even after 6 years after high school. I love it that much. It's my favorite! I'm serious! It's total type 4. It's needless to say awesome!
My hair is naturally straight, and when it's short, it flips out like type one, but goes every each direction so I have a straightener to help shape my hair the way I want it to go. Since I have highlights and layers, I've been either keeping it straight or up in a pony tail or some cute way to have me not so serious looking.
Besides, I have a type 4 dad, and I look just like my dad except for a few extra things. ;) He's also a secondary type 1. He loves to talk to people. And when I get comfortable around people I like to talk and have fun and bring my type 1 out with my type 4. It really does make me such a lighter person instead of having my type 4 be all who I am, I get to lighten myself up and have some fun.
I'm still learning, and trying to work on getting my course switched. And still haven't had a chance yet to go online. I'm always doing something with my husband when I'm not working. And we're usually on the go, go, go. And just getting things done as fast as we can so that we both can have fun and relax.

"It's Extremely important for you to believe in yourselves, not only for what you are now, but for what you have the power to become. Trust in the Lord as He leads you along. He has thing for you to do that you won't know about now, but that will be revealed later. If you stay close to Him, you will have some great adventures. The Lord will unfold your future bit by bit." -Elder Neal A. Maxwell, 1984

Spiritual Weekend at work. Topic: Family History, Journaling, and the Gospel period.
This weekend was one of those weekends that helped me to have a love for working at the hospital. I may have mentioned before that I'm a housekeeper at a hospital near where I live. And I like having a variety and options as well as change in my work week. I'm what is called a float Housekeeper. I come to work most of the time not knowing which part of the hospital I'm going to work at everyday till I arrive and receive my pager, my DAR(Daily Activity Report) and keys. Each DAR is different for each area you're in the hospital. Some just patient rooms, some patient rooms, discharges and ancillary(public restrooms, elevators, Nurses stations, etc...), Just Ancillary. I'm very reliable and flexible, I now know basically all of the areas in the hospital except for Inpatient Psychiatry. But, anyways, this past weekend I was placed into 6th floor in the East Tower of the hospital. And that's your med surg floor most of the time it is full with about 35 patient rooms. And only one houskeeper doing the full floor to clean their rooms. During the weekend I started out with 21 patients down to about 10 by the time I was done Sunday. After Sunday, I was walking to my car and reflecting on my weekend while going home. Is probably one of those weekends I should never ever forget in my life. Because, it was such a special experience. I met so many wonderful people this past weekend and it was such an amazing opportunity to clean their rooms, talk and learn from each individual I talked to! it was so wonderful.
So Here's how it all started. Saturday, I come on the floor, and set up my cart and do my trash run. I get to 670 and it's this sweet elderly lady, I sadly don't remember her name, I need to get better at that but for now since we are dealing with HIPPAA laws, it's probably a good thing too. We'll call her Betsy. I take out her trash, and I see that she has some Dottera Oils on her sink Shelf. And I started a conversation with her about them because, my mom has a membership with them and it was following a prompting or a voice in my head telling me to start it. I talked with her about a Sunburn I recently got a week and a half ago, and so on and so forth with her telling me which oils I could use to help heal the burn. This conversation eventually lead to her marriage and my marriage and Jordan and I making preparations to be sealed in the Temple for Time and All Eternity this December. I learned that her Anniversary is the day after mine, and she said that she would be thinking about me on my 1 year anniversary knowing that Jordan and I will be experiencing the best day of our lives! Then, she started talking about Family History and how important it is to start early so that younger generations can go to the temple and have to wonderful experience of doing baptisms for the Dead and other Ordinances for the dead depending on the age so on and so forth. And We talked about keeping a journal, doing scrapbooking, and even doing the generation charts online since it is now available. It was such a wonderful opportunity to talk to her. I wasn't able to talk to her much Sunday because, she always had something going on in her room visiters, help from the Nurse or PCA(Paitient Care Assistant just like a CNA). So when I cleaned her room I basically needed to go in and out.
Later on Saturday, i get to room 662 this patient named *Jeff(Don't remember the name again) had a friend visiting. And talked with his friend about a little bit of drama of the crazy politics of the government and how we shouldn't take things for granted in life because, it's too short to do so. It went on to his friend Gary(he told me his name but it slipped my mind) talking about how he joined the church and how his Aunt was the first to Join and of course with the Snow Ball effect she shared with his mother(her sister), and eventually the agreed to have the missionaries over. He shared his father was involved with the BSA. He loved how the church supported the same values as the BSA and that was one of the first things that drew him to the gospel. His mother had other things. Eventually their family got baptised and he was either a child or a Teenager at the time. And he loved it. He looked around at other churches and he had fun he said he enjoyed learning about other religions, just none of them felt right for him. He still felt a little bit of an absence in his life. When he first started going to Young Mens' before getting baptised, he felt accepted right on, he noticed that every young man in his ward shared the similar values his family shared and he was so happy to have found that happiness in his life. He eventually joined the Navy, and has been strong since. he talked about how special it was to be able to hold a child right after their born and that there's nothing like having children. Like he shared to take our time. But again there's nothing like the feeling of a pure being straight from Heavenly Father's presence and into your arms to become a blessing in your life. I look forward to that time in my life when it is time. Just being patient and working on getting schooling done. It was such a wonderful time to talk with him and hearing his testimony. I was able to share my testimony and my journey in my life and experience with the Atonement, and other things in my life. It was such a boost in my testimony and in spirit that it made my day a whole lot easier! I loved it.
Sunday rolls around and I had good conversations with different people on the floor, but not as uplifting as my last conversation of the day with Juanita in 683. I saw her a few times the day before, met her husband and even met her dog, Teddy a Yorkshire Terrior(one of my most favorite dogs), I talked about my families Teddy who was a Pomeranian/Shih Tuz(Sheed-su, not Shit-su), and my other dog Wrylie with them and they talked about their Teddy. and I admit he was a pretty smart dog. He was a little suspicious first kinda pulling away but with a little bit of patience he let me pet him, massage his ears, so on and so forth. But anyways back to Sunday, I clean her room and I pointed out her planner looking book, but it was her Journal. She shared that she has never missed a day since 1970 when her family went to Japan to serve a Christian Mission. She told me that they go around getting pledges to help their church, and come back the next year to renew their pledge, and to also talk with family to come unto Christ. I was able to tell her how we did it in the LDS church, and it was a very kind conversation between us. She shared that when they got there, she expressed a fear that she was going to forget everybody's names, and all of the experiences they would have and her husband suggested to have her keep up a Diary. And so she did ever since. She basically has almost every detail of every day. And she even said that it settled some arguments in her family. Her sons referencing the book as her "Book of Lies." Which ironically turns out that she always turned out to be right. Which always brought up a laugh. She said that there was a time that her journal writing even helped them in a legal case shortly after her father in law passed away. She recorded hours of research for the case, the millage of travel, expenses for food and Hotel Stays, etc. She was able to prove a statement that was said by him before he passed away in her journal, and both her attorney and the Judge we dumbfounded in a sense that it was incredible of the blessings that had during this whole ordeal. Even though, I kind of do that in my monthly planner I carry around in my purse, I almost want to get the book she has so that I have an opportunity to be able to share special event through out the day to see how close I can become to myself, my husband, and my heavenly father. It's so amazing to see this. She was such a kindred heart and spirit, I was able to learn things that were new and from her experiences to stay a step a head of different people and remember better of different important things and events instead of my mind going from one thing to the other. Or at least control it in a sense to have it connect together in randomness or whatever. Still keep my personality but have a better memory, and not feel like I'm forgetful about different events in my life. If you know what I mean. it was such an amazing opportunity to talk with her and learn by her example. she is such a wonderful Daughter of God. I hope to be able to see her again in the next life and share more of what I've learned and have a wonderful conversation again! :D
After pondering on all of these conversations I've had with these different, wonderful people, that I think that Heavenly Father placed me there so that I can get a Clue that I need to start on my Journal writing again, as well as work a little on my family history. I still don't really have the interest, I just know that the seed is being planted deeper and deeper for it to burst and grow into a passion. It's just not there yet. I just know that I need to start small and eventually go bigger. I know that he has a hand in my life and that I needed to be at the hospital for plenty of different reasons. This being one of them. Thanks for reading. :D

Love/hate relationship with my hair.
I have really stubborn hair, always have ever since I was a child. When I was growing up, I had super thin/fine hair, you could hardly do anything with it! You curl it, 2 hours later, it's straight, scrunch it to try to see if there's any natural curl in there, NOTHIN'! So finally when I turned 13, and guess what my hair is finally thick enough for me to get a perm. It was the perfect perm for me actually! It was a mixture of tight and loose curls throughout my hair. It looked, cute, elegant, sophisticated, and fun! I Loved it. It grew out, but it helped me get a little bit of wave when it's long, and when it's short (about shoulder length) it naturally flips out. Guess what? I love it! It's so nice when I blow dry my hair on a tight time limit getting ready for work or simply on lazy days where I'm simply not in the mood to do anything to it, that I can put my fingers through it, make the layers in my hair loose, and with my "regular brush" I help it flip out more than it does. I still get some that randomly curl inward which bugs me. It has to go either one way or the other. but anyways, it's done in like 5 minutes! SWEET! Moving on getting to the story for today.
So my mom and I got introduced to this program called Dressing Your Truth-by Carol Tuttle. Look it up for more info. it's really interesting. Anyways. She has these four different types of nature. Air(type 1), water(type 2), fire(type 3) and solid(type 4). And I'm a dominant type 1 movement. Which is light high movement. Always happy type person. You get the picture. Basically the person that lights up the entire room. with the Type 4 secondary. Which is the opposite movement of type 1 and with that I'm more introverted than what type 1 is to be described. Which is quite interesting and funny. But it's part of who I am, with a balance of the other 2 types.
Now back to the story, so as a type 1 I am light and animated, fun and cute. I wear bright and fun make up with my ugly uniform that I wear everyday. Which is a dark burgandy, with black scrub pants. I am a housekeeper at a hospital. So I have to do something to help me feel like I'm me! I don't care if it matches because, that's really not what I'm going after. If I really tried to match, honestly I would not look very pretty! :P So today, I wanted to mimick a hair do I did on memorial day this year, and boy was it CUTE! I Loved it I felt like me, I got compliments left and right with my family. It was awesome! And it fell into disaster for me today! It curled too much too soft, no random or upward light movement. all the curls were shaping my face with a smooth type 2 movement not that fun, flirty, light, high movement to help me look animated and fun.(me!) So I put it up in bobby pins and it looked even more like type 2. I was freaking out! I didn't have time to fix it, so I put on my make up and went out the door. I went to work with type 1 make up on with type 2 hair. Oh my gosh! I felt like I was arguing with myself the first 5 hours of my shift. I felt like I was getting nothing done. And most of all I felt like my mom. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE MY MOM VERY MUCH! You hear?! Don't take this wrongly. If you do Dressing Your Truth you might understand. But I felt like my mom. I felt soft subtle, flowing with the movement work was going which was slow! And taking my time(which I usually do but, usually with my own movement, that is a different story), for me I felt lazy, and just a lot of conflict going on in my head. I finally got tired of it and put my hair up. It looked messy, poofy, random and cute when I put it up with a rubber band. It was all that was found at the nurses station. I didn't care, I just needed it up good and fast! I was going psycho! As I went on through out the day, I was almost done and I thought to myself. Holy Cow! That was evidence that I am not a type 2. I am definitely a Type 1. I seriously felt like my mom who is a Type 2! I almost felt like I was going to cry because, of the whole conflict it was basically making me sick.
Sometimes you get into trouble doing experiments with your hair.
Here's what else was going through my head at this point. I need to tell my mom, she would get a hoot from this. Of course, I told her. And she laughed her head off even told my dad who is also supporting her through this program. I'm still laughing my head off. And still going crazy with my hair now down. I want to wash it. I just wanted to take care of this first because, I seriously couldn't wait. So I hope you had a laugh as much as My mom and I did. Make it a great and wonderful day and weekend. See you next time. :D

I'm officially a "Love BYRD"!! :D

My Handsome Husband before he saw me for the first time.
"You may kiss the Bride" Our first kiss as Husband and Wife! :D
Cutting the cake. I'll tell you more about it on another picture of our cake. :D
My husband's first reaction when I came out of the room I was getting ready in.
This is our Beautiful and wonderful cake that his oldest brother worked for hours before the wedding day on this cake. He said it was his last cake and was going to come out with a bang! And I'd say he did! :D He got some of the flowers from where I ordered the flowers for the bouquet, Boutonniere, and corsages. I got so many compliments on my cake and was very happy to be able to share the compliments to "the chef." Having my bouquet right next to it made it such a compliment to the cake that I couldn't take it off. It just suited so nicely where it was. I didn't have to worry about it wrinkling during the commencement of the reception.
My poor youngest sister got sick again with the flu bug during the reception that my mom had to take her home early, she was very sad that she missed the bouquet toss. My mom was able to give me a good luck hug and kiss before she left.
My favorite picture of our rings with the purple sparkly Poinsettias.
The next couple pictures are before our wedding we took them by the railroad tracks close to where I live. It was beautiful, cold and fun! :D
Our first dance "Just as Kiss" by: Lady Antebellum
My cute adorable sisters were my ring barriers. My Mother in Law made the ring pillows and the ribbon girls baskets which turned out very cute as well. :D I loved every detail.
Final prep before going out to the ceremony.
Daddy/Daughter dance. "Butterfly Kisses" by: Bob Carlisle I started crying when the song started. It's been my dream Daddy/Daughter dance since I was 16 years old. I guess you can say it's mine and my dad's song. We've always enjoyed it since I was a teenager maybe even before then.
Very first picture as husband and wife.
My mom and dad have a picture similar to this one from their wedding pictures, and I wanted to continue that tradition.
Since my brother is on his mission we wanted to let him know that we were thinking of him on our special day. My dad grabbed a piece of paper and a marker for my mom to write his name down.
Haha! This was caught at the perfect moment. I love it! So Jordan was taught how to untie my ring off the pillow before the wedding for about an hour or so(maybe exaggerating but not sure it's just what I heard;) and my lesson was just a couple seconds before and after the pillow was made, and helped my husband with getting my ring off the pillow. You know how they say a picture explains a thousand words? Well, this is one of them that could pull that off. ;)
So our cake wasn't gluten free so Jordan couldn't have a bite, so he let me get his piece of cake all over his face.
I know it was kind of a jumble and the pictures were all over the place, from through out the day, but I hope you had some fun seeing the pictures. It was a wonderful day, we both enjoyed ourselves and had fun every minute of it. Our married life has been a wonderful journey so far. And look forward to future adventures as we get closer to meeting our educational goals, as well as our spiritual goals as we go through out our marriage, one day at a time. Enjoying each others company and getting to know each other on a deeper friendship level called Marriage. ;)

Elder Collin Robinson in the MTC
Well, Collin is now set apart and entered the MTC September 26, 2012. Yes, a week! It's actually gone by so fast for me cause, of work and other things that have been going on. Elder Robinson sent us his first letter in the MTC last Friday, and it was funny! He mentioned that he was there not even a day and everybody was warning him of the Chocolate milk and Orange Juice(Shorty was even warning him about them) someone in his district named Elder Call is a distant relative namely related to Anson Bowen Call. Which is our great great grandfather. He was really good friends with Joseph Smith. Moved to the west with Brigham Young, and when Polygamy became illegal, the Call family moved down to Mexico. His companion(not sure of his name, I couldn't read his name for the life of me! :P) is senior companion and District leader and is in the field as of this week I believe.
Anyways here's some pictures at the temple that my mom took just before we dropped him off. We went to Brick Oven for Lunch with my Grandpa and Grandma Bourne. It was a lot of fun! :D
Collin with my Grandpa and Grandma Bourne I like this one with my Grandpa looking at him.

As we were walking to the temple, this guy asks my brother. "Hey! Where are you going?" Collin: "To the temple." Everyone: " No, on your mission." Collin: "Oh! Spokane Washington."
My Brother and I since I didn't make it to his graduation.
