Swim update

Wow, I haven't posted on here in like forever!! yea, I am now officially a Senior in High School and experienceing some of the best events of a life time (pretty much)...but yea, I was able to finally go to ST. George this year, and start on a thing called the Power Rack to help my breaststroke legs for my 100 yd Breaststroke!! But yea, it is so much fun! I am excited, I then went to Cedar City for the last time (0ne of my favorite meets!! no my most favorite other than ST. George which was my first and last time going there)... But yea, at ST. George I dropped 3 sec. on both of the events that I swam there!! it was awesome! Before I went to Cedar City, on of the coaches started me on a faster technique, and yea, it was awesome!! I am not used to it for the 100 yd yet, but I am getting there, I have a 50 done, just for the 2nd 50 yds, then I can get going...I just hope that I can push my self to go to State, that is my determination right now... to push my self to the limit, and get to my goal, going to state would be an amazing gift for Graduation!! Maybe I can go to state with either the 50 free at least maybe even the 100 yd freestyle!! that would be awesome, and get my time to a minute 30 sec. on my 100 Breaststroke...that would be cool too! I have some pictures from St. George on the computer at home...and hopefully I can figure out to get some on there to show you some of them...St. George was a fun, fast, but long meet!! It was way fun! I do have a meet tomorrow and it is a home meet..!! Family, and Friends are invited if they live close enough...But yea, it is going to be fun, it is going to be a late meet too :P But, yea, I am excited for after the meet, I will be able to go to a stage dance and have fun there!!!

I just started Swim Team!!!

Monday July 2, 2007 was my first day of USS Swim Team. It was pretty fun, we did kind of a 4th of July work out where the coach of the Team (Kenny) split us up by lanes and the lane that I was in were the British and we would would have to swim fifties (two laps back and forth) of a certain stroke, and if you couldn't do it, or you were one of the last people to come back you were "dead" So people in the "graveyard" would have to do 20 push-ups (personally I have a hard time doing push-ups, and if I did "girl push ups, then my knees would cry really bad basically, so I did arm pushups where you put all on your body weight in your arms and yea that is what you would do, guys don't like it as much as girls do to tell you the truth, but, they are awesome!), but any ways, and yea, that was pretty fun. On Tuesday, we were all Colonials, and were supposed to "sneak" up to the British and we did "lung busters" where we would hold our breath and try to swim across the pool with out taking a breath(of course this takes practice) and do breaststroke kick under the water (yes, I think we looked like frogs pretty much). then we did something totally random, we had to do 50 X's 50's but did 30 instead because we ran out of time. But, yea, we had to 10 of our choice of stroke, 10 50's freestyle, 10 choice, and 10 fly, then 10 Freestyle, but only did 30. and if we got to Fly, I would have died really (not really), Fly is my worst stroke, and I don't do it really well at all. So I would have done Freestyle the whole time because that is the fastest stroke, and you get it done faster.
Last year, The High School Swim team usually does 200 lap swim-a-thon where all the swimmers had to swim 200 laps in two hours or less, and we had to go around to get pledges from people in our neighborhoods, friends and family. So On the day of the Swim a thon on my junior year, I beat my time from my sophmore time( on my sophmore year, I didn't finish I only swam the two hours really and got 164 laps or something like that), and I finished at and hour and 40 min. I was so happy, but very exausted ready to go home at 3:00 in the morning(Swim a thons were usually over nighters and on a weekend so we can have our rest, and so we wouldn't miss any school). I hope we can do that again this year and drop my time from that, but I heard that we might not do it for my senior year, I was so mad. But, if we do, I am going to finish and beat my time!

I am starting Uss Swim Team next Week!!!

This past week, I registered for a swim team Club at the Legacy Center where I live, and it is a little club where it will give me the opportunity to have Training all year round so I don't have to sit on my bum in front of the T.V. all the time, I get to train and be so sore at Morning workouts when they start in September For HS Swim Team Season! My team was asked by my coach to join a little club so we can train 11 months a year and have one month off, so my month is all ready gone by and I am ready to work out again! So yea, I will be sore for about a week or two, but, it will feel good that I am getting fit again. And this year, I get to lose more weight, and I am looking forward to that part.
