Dedication to Lehi Swimming Coaches and Captains! :D

November 5, 2009:

This Grateful post is going to be a long one because I am dedicating it to Coaches, and Swim Team Captains I had while I was on the Team in High School! Swim Team was one of the things that turned my life around when it was tough! Swimming became my therapy as much as Music was! Just something Extra if Music didn't distract my mind, It was Swimming! And the Team memebers, Coaches and Captains were a big help! And were Awesome! I Love Lehi Swimming! :D GOOD LUCK IN ST. GEORGE THIS WEEKEND SWIMMERS! "WHERE DO WE DO OUR TALKING? IN THE WATER!!!"

1. Coach Diane Peterson: I've known Diane pretty much since Jr. High! Her Daughters were in my Orchestra Class. Kelsey Vaughn and Dani Vaughn... Kelsey on the Violin, and Dani on the Cello! :D She was I don't know what to call her, I guess the Parent rep! :D hehehe! ;) She helped students tune before Concerts, and she teased as much as Miss Roesler! I have some pretty good memories with her teasing my Friend Shelby Sorenson after a concert where he stood up and did the CAN CAN for Beginning Orchestra! It was so Hilarious! She gave him a tutu and a Tiara! And also made him put them on in front of the Class! hehehe! And people took pictures also! It was so funny! ;) In Swim Team! She was pretty awesome! She and Suzy(of whom I will talk about later) made some Killer workouts! Especially on Power days! AHH! They made them so hard that they soon had to make Power Days a surprise because All of us hated Power days! But we all knew that Power Days were on Tuesdays and we needed to Swim them... and in Turn those power days helped us! :D Power Days did get easier for me... mainly because I swam with the Freshman... :P Senior year I was planning on being on the A Team they of which had more challenging work outs than the B- Day Team had! ;P And I couldn't sign up because ASL 2 was in the spot... and I realized after I graduated that I could have switched my B4 class with my A4 class so that I could be in the A-team! :P Because I didn't end up having ASL2 on A4 like what is said on registration! I wasn't a happy camper! :( Any ways! Some people on the team didn't like Diane so much... I liked Diane! I got along with her very well! :D I thought she was awesome despite the fact she loved to kill me with Breastroke work outs every week! LOL ;) Diane, if you read this... Don't shoot me! It was the only photo I had of you from Swim Team!

2. Coach Suzy Shepherdson: I've known Suzy since she and her family moved into my neighborhood when I was 4.. I don't remember much... but I remember her being the Primary chorister, and I think maybe even my primary teacher at one point before the ward split when I was 8. When the Ward split back into Sunset 2nd Ward, she was the first YW president I had as well as SS2's first as well! She was the YW president untill after my 2nd year at Girls Camp. So any ways, she and Diane got a long very well! LOL They made some pretty tough workouts together! Like I said with Diane's part, I was pretty exhausted when I got home! Even ask my parents! I would always crash on the couch for a bit before doing homework after Swim Practice in the Afternoon! I don't think I have a picture of Suzy by herself, and she isn't in any of my pictures from Swim Team! :( Dang! :P Well, I guess she is lucky! Or am I lucky to not have my neck strangled! ;) LOL

****Note*** this is just a random picture... it's the only way to make it look like I have actual paragraphs! LOL

3. Coach Dennis Meyring! Oh my Gosh! There is so much I could say about Coach Meyring! He is so amazing! I look up to him as much as I look up to my Dad! He is so easy to go and talk to for advice! I remember when I first met him! He looks like he could be so mean and strict but he isn't! He is strict but soft at the same time! I was able to adapt to him! :D He is so amazing and I wish I had a picture of just him! or even a picture of me and him! Because he is my role model! And many other people's role models that I know of! He's gotten quite a few boys on their missions! There have been so many farewells where Coach has been mentioned as one of their influences of going on a mission! I guess you could say he has that type of persuasion and great influence on Young men my Age! :D I could talk on and on about Coach Meyring and all you would hear about him is Good! He is one of those people that helped me look at life in a perspective that is different than what I had when I was going through Jr. High and latter part of Elementary school! He is so amazing! I Love Coach Meyring! And I can say it a hundred times more! He retires in a couple years or so... and I am personally glad he is retiring after I graduated from H.S.! He fills his prescriptions at Taylor Drug, but since his insurance requires his scripts to be mailed I only see him whenever he has to get a new prescription and that can be at least twice a year! :( One of the things he taught me and the team, was Zan-Shin(I'll explain that in another post... just remind me ok!), and this quote... "Life is Tough, but it's even tougher when you're Stupid!" (Do what works in Life)-Anonymous This quote pretty much means and I challenge you to do this when you can, I'd suggest writing it down or something! Write down a list of things that make you happy in your life! Like service, having simply a smile on your face where ever you go in your life, being a peacemaker, thinking happy thoughts instead of negative ones, etc... You think of the rest! :D Thinking Warm and Pink when you see a paper clip when you have an injury, or a surgical procedure... it creates a chemical reaction in the brain for all of the blood to go to that injury spot and help it heal faster than normal! I know it sounds weird but it works! :D There are other things... but if you end up reading my post and want to comment of what you remember of Coach Meyring! Please! I'm all ears! I Love coach Meyring! He is so humble, and so spiritual! He is truly amazing! :D Love you Coach! You'll always be in my memory! :D This picture was taken at the Bountiful meet my Senior year! It was the first annual and it was held right before Thanksgiving! And Lehi Girls got 3rd! It was awesome! Coach Meyring is on the right side in the back! See if you could look for me! :D Coach Diane is on the left in the Back, and sadly Suzy wasn't in this one for some odd reason! :( I found one with Coach Meyring in the Middle Jamie Smith and Lance Allgaier on his Right! :D Yay! :D

Time for Swim Captains, I don't have pictures of all of them! But a few especially my Senior year captains!

Sophomore year Captains: Girls Captains; Sarah Shepherdson Rogers, Samantha Wycherly Brigman, and Leisa Worlton.
Boys Captains: Brittain Bennett, Jeff Mortensen, and Joe Carbine.

Sarah Shepherdson Rogers, I've known her since I was like four! LOL She was pretty awesome! :D she was really nice to me of what I remember, but I don't exactly remember what she was like as a captain really...

Samantha Wycherly Brigman: She and Sarah are Best friends like crazy! They were always together, and she and Sarah created some tough dryland Work outs! Holy cow!

Leisa Worlton: Holy Cow! She was amazing! She'd come to Morning work outs even when she wasn't feeling too well with some Gaul bladder problems(didn't find that out what was actually wrong with her till right before swim season ended... and she had to have surgery before State... :P But has been a lot better since!), she swam at swim meets also! She was Crazy for that one! :P LOL ;) Leisa is another person I'd say I looked up to in High School and still look up to! She is such a great person! I Love her like crazy! She has the sweetest personality! :D She is so Caring! She is currently serving her mission in New Hampshire! :D I always loved her hair especially! She would curl it every day! And I pretty much dream and wish I had her hair! Cause when she curled it for school! It actually stayed! And now! She doesn't have to do anything with it! She just has to dry it... and touch it up a little and it'd look like she'd curled it any ways! :P So jealous! She was gorgeous! And still is! I Love Leisa like crazy! She also helped me turn around in my life! I so wanted to be like her personality! Kind, Loving, always smiling and actually meaning the smile instead of a fake smile... and really encouraging! She is so sweet! I Love her! I remember saying to myself, that I wanted to grow up to act like Leisa, because she'd act so Christ like! And I Loved her attitude! :D She is fantastic! :D

Now on to the Boys!

Brittain Bennett: Ok I can admit, Brittain was a pretty Hot Guy! Despite the fact that he was the same height as I am or is the same height! He was one of my captains my sophomore year and my Junior year! In someways I'd say he was more fun my sophomore year than my Junior year! Although he did tough workouts both years! We just had more game mornings with him when he was captain my sophomore year! Junior year! He worked himself out so hard that he was told by his doctor that he couldn't come to Morning workouts any more... he had Over worked syndrom(or something like that! Mom! Help!) He was told by the doctor my Junior year that he had to only work out in the Afternoon... I bet he enjoyed sleeping in for the last part of Morning workouts while everybody else had to wake up early! :P LOL Brittain was pretty awesome!

Jeff Mortensen: I don't remember much about Jeff except that he was captian my sophomore year and he did our media stuff even in my Junior year! He did the music at every Meet! Or at least every meet that was a Home meet! My junior year, he was on the Student council so he didn't do Swim that year... but he came to every Home meet and did our music, and he also made our Swim team Video/slideshows Both years! :D

Joe Carbine: Joe! Who could forget Joe Carbine?! He was so awesome and funny! He was the team Captain that I remember that made morning workouts something to look forward to waking up to! He'd make Workouts not only hard like crazy! But also fun! He was pretty much the entertainer! And you can tell he enjoyed every minute of it! hehehe! :D He was awesome! And everybody Loved him like crazy! I can honestly say that Leisa and Joe were my favorite Captains my sophomore year! :D

*****Junior Year Captains****
I can honestly say that Junior year wasn't my favorite year... there were actually a couple times where I just wanted to stop! The team was different, we weren't united like I thought we were my Sophomore year! Luckily I stayed and saw that we had more unity in the team My senior year than Sophomore and Junior year combined! :D

Girls: Lauren Crocket and Barbara Hansen

Boys: Brittain Bennett and Dan Mitton

Lauren Crocket: She was pretty awesome! :D Although, I don't think she didn't like me all to well, because I left early from Morning workouts! Lauren, if you read this! I'm sorry you didn't like me! :( I left early from Morning workouts because I had Early Morning Seminary, and needed to attend that! I was putting the Lord first! But, unwillingly in someways! :( Because, You have no idea how many times I was tempted to sluff Seminary and just stay to finish a morning work out! Trust me! It was tough to fight that temptation! And trust me I didn't like leaving early! But I knew I needed to! So I'm sorry that I turned into the "Early Bird." I Love ya Lauren! You were an awesome captain! :D I truly didn't mean to be disrespectful... :(

Barbara Hansen: Lauren and Barbara are best friends like crazy! haha! They were pretty much inseparable! Barbara was always so sweet! I Loved her! She was kind of the peacemaker in the team at least I thought so! :D Barbara is now on her mission in Argentina! I can honestly say I miss her too! I wish I was able to bond with her a little more my Junior year... but I had to leave early from Morning workouts! :( Junior year was so tough! And honestly I didn't even have a good attitude about anything that year! I hated my Junior year! and really it was my fault for being that way too! But Heavenly Father set me straight by breaking my foot after State(I didn't go to state... but you get the point it was after swim season... other wise Coach wouldn't have been happy with me! :() And then, I got in a car accident to keep me on the road! LOL Yeah! Junior year was just interesting in every way! LOL

Brittain Bennett(look at my sophomore Captains)...

Dan Mitton: Haha! First thing I think of when I think of Dan was that evil/clever Idea of doing the 200 laps around the block in the High school by the English and History Hall! Oh man! The whole team just wanted to kill Dan for making up that Idea over Thanksgiving break! This was his exact quote! "Over thanksgiving break I was thinking of a workout to burn off all of the Thanksgiving food, and I was watching Cars one day and thought! Ohh! Let's be like Cars and run 200 laps around the Square!" Yeah! The moans was what he was expecting from all the team! And let me tell ya! He loved the sound of it too! And Dan would be happy to know that Lance and Ben Kept that tradition my Senior year! LOL

*******SENIOR YEAR CAPTAINS!****

Girls Captains: Jamie Smith and Kelsey Vaughn

Boys Captains: Ben Omer, and Lance Allgaier

Jamie Smith: Jamie Smith I've known since 7th Grade! She and Kelsey I believe were in my 7th Grade Science class with Mr. Scott! :P They were both in the intermediate Orchestra while I was in beginning Orchestra learning Viola! I pretty much got along with Jamie very well! She is so awesome! I Love Jamie! She is so sweet! And very fun to talk to! I could talk to her for hours and she would just listen... although I think she would get tired of me though! :( But she is great and Awesome! :D I LOVE YOU JAMIE! :D Here is a picture of her, it was from the Senior meet!! But you gotta Love it! :D Don't shoot me Jamie! :(

Kelsey Vaughn: Yeah like I said in Jamie's I've known Kelsey since 7th grade! She and Jamie got to suffer with me in Mr. Scott's Boring Science class! I sure hope I'm not the only one that hated that class especially where Mr. Scott's tests didn't have anything from the notes! :P And he always talked about his dogs! Ok back to Kelsey! I've actually have gotten along with her! I actually was always shy to play solo because I knew she was and is better than I am when it comes to anything musical! I was always afraid that I'd be out of tune! LOL And as a Captain, she was a pretty good captain and worked very well with Jamie! And there we go again! Best Friends as Captains! They always work well together and always do the killer workouts! Oh man! I Loved every Morning workout! they made my life difficult in a good way! Holy cow! I was in very good shape my senior year! In fact I was in the best shape I have ever been in my life senior year! My legs looked amazing! I liked everything! I actually almost had a flat Stomach! Woot! Thanks Kelsey and Jamie for making up some fun and Killer workouts and it was nice to know that you guys were dying too! :D hehehe! ;) Ok... Don't Kill Me Kelsey! I'm going to use your picture from the Senior meet!

Lance Allgaier: Holy Cow! In some ways I can see my brother be like Lance! Holy Cow! You don't know crazy and weird till you meet Lance Allgaier! He would make Kevin look fairly mild! LOL I have to admit! Lance was like a Joe Carbine! :D He had the killer Workouts and yet he was the entertainer! And to tell you a secret! The girls Kicked butt in Morning workouts! When ever the guys worked out with Kelsey and Jamie! They hated them! LOL The girls hated Jamie and Kelsey but in a good way! We Loved the Hard workouts! we literally went to the Locker room after every morning workout sweaty and disgusting! And honestly I Loved every minute of it! It told me that I was working hard! :D hehehe! :D But yes! Lance followed Dan's example of doing the 200 laps around the square! And we all didn't like that! I didn't like it! My foot didn't like it either! Maybe that was in my head! But seriously! Ever since I broke my foot! It has never been the same at all! :( I went on one date with him that was it! I took him to Morp my Junior year! And it probably wasnt' a good idea for me to do physically because I went cold turkey from the boot right before that weekend... my cousin got married two days after I got the boot off! *Don't wear High heels after breaking a foot and while your foot has yet to gain strength to even bare your weight! :P* But I still had fun despite the fact my foot hated me for a couple weeks or so! LOL At the Dance Lance was awesome! he was moving like crazy! Towards the end of the dance he did this really weird move that he jumped did a flip of some sort and he came landing on the ground doing a push up... yeah... That was Smart! LOL He almost sprained his wrist! LOL You Gotta Love Lance though! He was awesome! :D He literally is like another Joe Carbine! hehehe! ;) As a captain, he was like the funny glue that helped unite the team as well as the girls did their best to do so! :D He was great! He made up this interesting cheer that I will never forget! But I don't want to screw it up! You have to hear it to know how weird and crazy Lance was! LOL Now Lance is serving his mission in Brazil! :D

Ben Omer! Ben is awesome! I've actually have known Ben since 8th Grade, he played the Trumpet in Band, and I was in Orchestra! Ben Omer started Swim Team at the same time I did! And honestly I was pretty jealous when the coaches started him on Breastroke and I wasn't even doing it yet(at least not till after season ended Sophomore year!), he became the 2nd fastest Breast stroker in the state of Utah in the 4A region! He had an awesome stroke! and the thing I Love about it was the fact that his face turned purple everytime he swam! LOL ;) Gotta Love Ben! His Stroke was amazing let me tell ya! I Loved watching him swim the breastroke! Can you blame me? I thought he was a Hotie in my Senior year just because his stroke was amazing! :D hehehe! I am a crazy girl! I had a mini crush on him! ha! Not to mention I Love his eyes! :D I'm pretty much a sucker for Blue eyes! :D LOL All of the crushes I've had, have Blue eyes! Funny to admit that now? It's ok... I have gone on one date with him, and I'm pretty good with that! :D And that was Senior Morp! :D hehehe! That was probably one of the most fun dates I helped plan in my life! I was the only Senior Girl in my group the others were sophomores! hehehe! Hey they were fun sophomores! :D Including my best friend Kimberlie Marsden! I'll talk about her in another post later! Cause we've had some great stories together! :D Anyways, Morp, I think I may talk about that in another post... LOL Because it is a long story! :D Ben, was an awesome captain! He was very dedicated, and also followed Dan's tradition, actually I think he might have been the one that was crazy enough to keep it! And Lance just followed along with it! LOL Any ways, Ben, he was the more tame one, he calmed Lance down when it was time to be serious... in fact it was surprising of how serious Lance became at times! And I was like... Do I know you? I think I like the weird Lance better! LOL Lance created the idea to do push ups for how many people were late to workouts X's 10! Holy Cow that was a killer! Well, it worked! It got people to come on time! :D Even though I was there before Coach even got there at times, I was still worried about not being on time to workouts! I know I'm weird! LOL But yeah Ben is pretty awesome! I got along with him pretty well, I can call him a friend! :D He is currently serving in the Toronto West Canadian Mission, Mandarin speaking! :D

Here is the whole team my Senior year '07-'08 See if you can find me! ***Seniors in the front*** Not pictured: coaches, Meyring, Diane peterson, and Suzy Shepherdson

GO! LEHI! GOOD LUCK AT ST. GEORGE THIS WEEKEND! :D YOU'LL DO AWESOME LIKE WE ALWAYS DO! ZAN-SHIN! :D

Swine Flu

I am going to vent just a little. And I'm sorry that this blog post and my past blog posts look like an on going paragraph... I have no idea how to fix it! :P Any ways... The Swine Flu has gone around all over the country, and in Utah, and I work at a Pharmacy where we get a lot of people come in with the Tamiflu to help symptoms. Honestly I've heard that it doesn't really help some people but it helps others feel better. But really once you have the swine flu, I'd suggest letting your body fight the virus naturally. Because, the symptoms of the Swine flu are mild compared to the regular flu. Some of the patients come in and they say they have the Swine flu or they've had it. And I know I had it about a month ago. Because the symptoms that I had are similar if not the same symptoms some of the people have had. Like if you have a new baby in your home, I'd say stay home for a while, cause I wouldn't want your baby to get it, and watch your older children too, make sure that they are healthy, and give them Vitamin C Fruits, to help boost their Immune systems. Make sure they wash their hands regularly too! Getting sick isn't fun... but if you get sick you get sick! When I had the Swine flu a month ago, I had the fever(I don't know how hot I was I just know that I was achy and had chills! ;P) for 14 hours, then I was in bed resting for 48 hours after that, I didn't want to spread it to my roommate because she works with kids with Special needs and I didn't want it to be spread to her to them! The H1N1 Vaccine of what I know about it, is that the Nose vaccine is a live virus and I heard that kids have gotten pretty sick from them, and really, if you go get the shot now... you're getting yourself exposed to it quicker while waiting for the shot than if you didn't even get the shot! The shot from a Needle(EWW! I hate needles.. and yet I donate blood! LOL I am one weird cookie!) is actually a dead virus. Also another thing that I heard, My boss Clayton Grace, heard that in the 60's, 70's or 80's I don't remember a variant of the Swine Flu came out during that time so if you are in your Mid 30's through mid 40's you don't have to worry so much about the Swine flu, because you might have already gotten it. It's the same with those that are in about their 80's- 90's years of age that it also came around that time too. I am honestly not too worried about the Swine flu, I never was and never really will be partly because I have a cousin that did research on it when it started going around during the summer, and he said that it is the same type of virus as the regular flu. So that is one thing that began that didn't make me worry too much... and also hearing and experiencing the fact that the symptoms are very mild! Heck, if I were to choose to get sick again(which I wouldn't! Yuck! :P) I'd choose Swine flu over the regular flu, just because I was back on my feet with in a few days or so! A lady I work with that is pregnant with her 2nd Child, isn't that worried about getting the Swine flu(which is almost weird to me... but all well...) Any ways, I just had to vent because, I was tired going around and explaining that it's just better to let the body heal itself than going to see a doctor because even though the tamiflu might help... It still doesn't help a ton! It causes hallucinations... yuck! And if you don't see the doctor with in the first 24-48 hours of symptoms... Tamiflu is pretty much useless... Not to mention it is very expensive! for a 10 pack of capsules with out insurance it is $101.10 give or take at Taylor Drug, and most insurances don't cover a whole lot... I've seen co-pays rang from (if not Medicaid or PCN) $25-99 or not cover at all! :P Sorry, if it was a matter of Life and Death and I absolutely needed to get Tamiflu... then maybe I would get it... but No! I think I can survive with out not having to take Tamiflu thanks! Sorry, that is my ventage for my opinion towards Swine flu... I guess you can say I am tired of People freaking out about it... and pretty much the News isn't sharing enough... and also... I practically make fun of those that start frantically looking for Hand sanitizer once they hear that people come over with the Swine flu everyday! haha! Take a chill pill people! It's not like you're going to Die or anything! Yes if you don't want to get sick... simply keep your immune system boosted with Vitamin C and Wash your hands regularly so you won't spread germs yourself and Drink lots of Water! That's all I can suggest! If you have any other questions I'd suggest asking your Doctor or your local Pharmacist!

Grateful and something else....

November 4, 2009 1. Friends! This Friday Morning, I am going to the Mall with a couple really good friends of mine(Tiffany Russon and Breanna Davis)! And Go Shopping(I probably shouldn't, but i really want to at least window shop to get some ideas for Christmas... or possible clothing to get for my Grandparents Golden Anniversary party on Friday evening, and use that new clothing for the trip to California for Thanksgiving! :D) I am very excited! And then in a couple weeks(the day before I leave to Cali) I am going with My friend Breanna, and get my hair weaved(colored) with Strawberry blond and Blond streaks, I hope it'll look ok... cause I am pretty nervous! But I have Breanna with me! And if I don't like it... I could always color it back to my blond hair color after 6-8 weeks! :D 2. School: I can't believe I just said that... but it's true! It gives me something to do other than just work... I am not in School this semester, but I can't believe I can't wait to have homework. Lets just hope Financial Aid goes through that I will be able to go this next semester! :D And still work full time at Taylor Drug(I have no idea how to work that out! LOL but somehow I will), I want to be able to either go to MATC to do the Pharmacy Technician Program and actually get my license! :D I was supposed to get it over the summer... but I failed the test Twice and my year expired in September! :( Not cool at all! And then after I finish that I want to go to school and major in psychology, and earn a master's Degree so that I can become a counselor, and help those that have been victimized of some kind of Abuse, and also those that are having a hard time with substance abuse! Even though I despise school, I can tolerate it... I just don't like General Ed classes! I know it isn't going be easy! But I really want to do it! Even if I don't get to practice it, I just want to be able to help when I can! I want to be a stay home mom, and I'll go to work, if needed! :D 3. Shelter over my head... I couldn't think of anything else! Wow! Anyways, I am living in an Apartment with a friend of mine! And I am enjoying myself quite a bit! I am learning a lot while I am out on my own! And I look forward to what is ahead! I just hope I will be able to start saving money so that I will be able to start going to school again, and to get myself a car! Maybe I need to figure out my schedule and find another job! I will be more busy, but I need money to support my needs! I know I have the option to move back home in Lehi... but it doesn't feel right to do so right now! I just got a calling in my ward and I think it is something I will enjoy! I am the Relief Society Music Specialist! :D And totally excited to start! :D I enjoy my ward here where I'm at! It's a very fun ward! I am enjoying myself a lot! :D

Grateful

November 3, 2009:

1. I am grateful that I have a job! With this economy! It's so hard for people to find a job! My Friend Kevin, has been jobless for the past few months or so! :P And hasn't been able to find one at all! He has been really inventive to earn money so he can pay for his minimum payments! And also his Rent and utilities! :P I have been trying to find a 2nd job... but No Luck what so ever! But I am grateful that I have a job! And the fact that it is finally full time also! :D

This is a random picture of me at work. I randomly put on my Friend Kevin Newcomb's Sunglasses, and he decided to take a picture of me because I wouldn't have them on again! :P They were so awesome! :D

2. I am Grateful for my best friend Kevin! He may not believe that he has been a blessing in my life since the day I met him, but I truly am grateful that he is in my life! He is so funny! He truly makes my day and makes me smile when I see him! Even talking on the phone with him makes my day on those days where I don't end up seeing him! He makes me laugh like crazy! :D I Love him because he strives to be his best even during those times where it could be so "easy" to just give up, and not go on any more! He really does his best to live! And I support him doing what he wants to do in Life! Just because I Love him that much! We have had a few moments where he would be so spiritual and happy, and talk about the gospel, and I really like it when he is like that! I can't explain exactly why! I am just grateful that the Spirit can be with him when he is trying to live life to the best he can of his abilities! :D He is so amazing like that! I Love him! :D

This is Kevin and I on the Thundermountain Ride in Disneyland! :D

I got this from stringsection.co.uk This is a Viola! :D hehehe!

3. Music! Oh How I love Music! You can say I am very weird when it comes to Music! I Like Classical Music a lot! Especially Movie Music, like music from Pirates of the Carribean, Prince of Egypt, Star Wars, Batman, Backdraft, etc... I also like a lot of peacefull Music like what you'd listen to on Sunday! :D I play the Viola, and pretty Musically inclined I like to think... I like to sing... but No Solos please! I am more of an Alto and prefer to sing in a group! :D It's the same for Viola, I prefer to be in an Orchestra than playing Solo! But I can play Solo! I can transpose music to the Viola clef, and I am grateful for the gift that God has given me in Music! I Love it and enjoy it, and it is my life, it's my Therapist! I also listen to other music too! I like Classic Rock, Rock, CLASSICAL!, I tolerate some Country. I despise Rap, and screamo! They give me headaches like crazy! :P

This is the Viola Clef formally called the "moveable" C clef It can move up and down on the Staff and it could be the Tenor Clef, Baritone clef, and the Alto clef(viola).

This is my friend Kimberlie and Josh's hands on the piano! I edited it on a Microsoft photo manager(not the best thing... I prefer photoshop!) Yeah! I am a total music Whiz! LOL

What I am Grateful For! :D

So My friend Stefanie is listing 3 things she is grateful for everyday in the Month of November! And if you'd like to start doing that you can do it on your own blog or leave comments! It's your choice! :D

What I'm Grateful for:

November 1, 2009

1. My Beloved Sisters! They are everything to me! They make my day whenever I hear their voice or when I see them! I cherish every moment I'm with them! :D Kendra and Abbie Both saved my life and came in to my family at the perfect time! Pretty much from the time I was like 5 I wished I would have a sister so I could just talk and have fun! But they didn't come till I was 14 years old and 15 1/2 years old! They always have a smile on and so innocent! And they are too smart for their own good! LOL I <3 them like crazy! I pretty much look up to them! They may wonder later on why, but it is because they're always happy, and they know who they are because of what they are being taught right now in School, in the house, at church, etc... They Make my day! :D

2. My parents! They have always been there for me through the tough times and have supported me through everything I've participated in! Like Orchestra and Swim Team, and other things! :D And I Love having those long discussions about so many random things and some deep conversations! I can honestly say that I get a long with my parents very well, I don't know what I think, but I don't think they've had so much trouble with me as much I really think they might have had trouble with them. Just because I avoid, conflict, arguements, and stay quiet. I don't really like it!

3. My younger Brother Collin! No matter how much he can drive me crazy! He is pretty much my best friend an older sister could ever ask for! We can pretty much talk about almost anything now! :D haha! We argued 24/7 everyday growing up and now we talk about anything and everything you can think of! :D And sometimes I wonder how he tolerates me because I can be very passive, and argumentative, like I even have started the fights then, I end them, and honestly I blamed it on him every single time! :P I hope he forgives me for that! I'm guilty as charged! LOL ;)

1. The Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I have no idea where I'd be with out the gospel, through out my life, I've had doubts of my self worth, and being able to go to church as been such a blessing in my life because, I learn more of my savior and redeemer and my self every time I go! I Love being able to go to church and feeling the spirit and having a topic that lifts me up every week, and to take the Sacrament to renew my covenants, and to just ponder on things that I may be thinking about that day, or my goals of what I may want to accomplish that week or month or what ever it may be!

2. The Atonement of Christ, Oh my gosh! The atonement has helped a lot in my life these past 10 years of my life, I went through an experience that was very tough for me to go through, and it too 5 years to figure out that I didn't like what I was feeling and figuring out what to do to change that, and avoid those feelings again! I asked a seminary teacher of what I needed to do(this was my sophomore year before Abbie was born), and my teacher told my class that if we had any question of how to achieve a goal or a principle in the Gospel that he would do his best to answer and give counsel and help us out! That opened the door for me to ask what I could do to change! He responded with a letter that I will always and forever cherish in my Scriptures for the rest of my life! I won't share what's on the letter because it doesn't feel right to do so, but he did give me a scripture to read, and it is truly one of my favorite scriptures in the Book of Mormon! Especially when it comes to the atonement! It is Alma 7: 7-12 and verses 11-12 talk about the atonement saying that "He'll suffer pains, afflictions and temptations of every kind... and succor his people unto righteousness(that's kind of summery, I don't think I'm right on the dot, but that's kind of what I remember from it)." We are all not perfect, but the Atonement makes it possible for us to live righteously after making a mistake, and bring us back to heavenly Father. In the book Called "The Continuous Atonement" By: Brad Wilcox he talks about an experience he had while serving as a Mission president in Argentina? (I don't remember, just some South American Country, spanish speaking). And he talks about this missionary, that said that he didn't repent of some sins before leaving on his mission and he felt they weren't that bad enough to send him home to work things through, he just let him repent on his own while on the mission. Well, when he first started meeting with this Missionary, he first started talking about this Marble Egg, it was Beautiful with all these streaks of paint on it and beautifully polished! And he said that if this Egg was white and Clear it would look fake right? Well, the point of this egg is as we go through our lives we will get spiritual cuts on our Spirits that will need some major polishing(depending on how bad the sin is), or just a little to help make us beautiful, but we can only be polished through the Atonement of Christ! And we will soon become as beautiful as this Egg Marble! I will never look at the Atonement the same way again! It was such an amazing analogy to me that I felt I learned more from this book than from anything in my life, I don't know... just because he has references of Scripture in it... and also personal experiences in his life to describe the different aspects of the Atonement! It's so Amazing I recommend it to anybody! :D

3. The Young Women Program, Why? While I was in Young Womens if you happen to read this blog and you're not LDS, here is a link to go to if you have anymore questions or want to learn more out the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints : LDS.org Or Mormon.org In the Church one of our Youth programs is the Young Women Program, where we learn to become a Woman and a future Wife and Mother. There are three stages in the Young Women Program: Beehives(12-13 year olds), Mia Maids (14-15 year olds) and the Laurels (16-18), while we are in that program we have this booklet called "Personal Progress" in this it has goals that help us build our testimonies of the Gospel, learn more about ourselves, and learn to become a future Wife and Mother(like I said before just a while back in this paragraph). Anyways, when I was in Young Womens I didn't get a long with some of the girls in my Ward, and for some reason, I was the weird, Odd one in my age group(there were 2 other girls that were my age), we just didn't like each other, I felt I didn't exactly fit in! :P It was very fun. I had a mom that wanted me to finish this program, I didn't exactly have any motivation to finish it... I didn't see any point, I didn't get a long with any of the girls in my ward. My mom pretty much encouraged me(not forcingly) to go to Mutual(fun activities or we do a service every Tuesday, depending on what we did, I guess you could say it was fun). I can honestly admit that there were times where I wondered... What is the point of doing this whole program? I didn't fit in, I was the "ugly Duckling" in the group! My mom also encouraged me to do my personal progress(and I can honestly say, I didn't like doing it), but I am truly grateful that I finished it! I earned my Young Women's Medallion(right now it looks like a pendant with the Salt Lake Temple on it and on the bottom of it, it has some flowers on it, and it's really pretty, you can choose 1 of 2 colors, on is Silver and the other one is Gold, I chose the Silver medallion), it not just reminds me that I finished a program that prepares me to be a Women, a Daughter of God that I am, and a future Mother. It reminds of Who I am and who I represent when I wear the necklace! :D I've had one person so far(it made my day and I guess you could say my life because I want to live up to it), and they weren't active I guess, because they knew what my necklace was, anyways, I've had one person tell me that "I like your Necklace, it helps me know what kind of person you are." And I thought: "Wow! Do I really make that much of a difference when I wear this medallion, Do people really watch me of what I do in my daily life?" Ever since that day, I will strive to do my best to live up to those standards and know that I am Natasha Brynn Robinson, a Daughter of God, an Example to all. I want to do my best to not look like a hypocrite. I want to live my life to the best of my abilities! And simply to do my best in the Eyes of My Heavenly Father in Heaven! :D I Love this Gospel, and My Heavenly Father! In the Name of Jesus Christ Amen! :D

Don't ask about the changed background... don't worry, It still has purple! ;)

As you can see I changed my blog background! Do you like it? I think I do! Just don't ask how I like black though... I'm not much of a black person... But it's black! :D Very cute though I think! It still has purple on there and colors that I think go well with it! Random, and very different! :D

Well, this past weekend my sister Abbie turned 4 years old! Holy Cow! Has it really been 4 years already? I can't even believe it! I feel so old! :( I still remember her being a cute little baby! :D

This was taken when Abbie was a week old(Halloween of '05). I remember our house being so busy with Trick or treaters that year(My family lives on a dead end and not a whole lot of people come to our house... they ignore us for some odd reason for trick or Treating... ;P), just because moms wanted to see our New addition to our all of a sudden big family! :D It was pretty fun! we just had to keep Abbie away from the door so she wouldn't catch anything! But yeah! My mom had an idea of having a "3 sister Picture" And Kendra also wanted to hold onto Abbie, so I guess that is where Mom got the Idea because Kendra chose me to help her hold Abbie! :D I still remember that day as if it were yesterday! It was so cute! :D hehehe! :D

This is Abbie when she was 1 year! Isn't she so cute?! I Love her so! She's always so full of Smiles along with Kendra Sue! :D

Abbie was a little over 8 weeks old when this picture was taken and haven't updated yet! But hopefully soon! I was the one that needed to hold onto Abbie because Collin wasn't quite comfortable yet to do so, and Frankly it was interesting situation... for some odd reason I was struggling to hold onto Abbie to make sure she was comfortable as well as myself, and I just couldn't figure it out so we got some weird smiles and looks from Collin and I and didn't end up getting a "good enough picture of us" But this one was one of the better ones! :D

Kendra and Abbie in this picture, Kendra is 4 1/2 years old, and Abbie just turned 3 so last year! My Grandma Loves to buy cute little Christmas Dresses for her Grandchildren! And it is so fun to see Kendra and Abbie get excited for new Dresses every single time they get a new dress! :D their Christmas dresses this past year have been one of my favorite dresses they've had! :D Why can't they make them 2 times bigger so that I can have a Christmas Dress(especially like Abbie's Dress, and also Kendra's! :D)to wear! :D

My favorite 3 year old Picture of Abbie! :D I Love how that cute little dress is laid out on the platform, and I Love that cute little 3 year old Abbie Smile! It is so cute!! :D I Love her so! And yes!! If you haven't noticed, I will talk about my sisters a lot! They are pretty much my life right now! They pretty much make my day when ever I see them or even talk to them on the phone! They always sound so Happy! And I Love it! :D

With it being Halloween this weekend! :D I'll probably will be seeing them! And hopefully I can get some good pictures of my cute little sisters! I'll tell you of my Halloween adventures after this weekend! :D And also I forgot to mention... this weekend is Stake Conference... so that will be interesting... I hardly know my Stake so It will be an interesting but fun experience! I hope there will be great talks! (Like I know can be at Stake conferences... :D) I'm just excited to see my little Kitty Kendra! And my Little Witch Abbie! :D

A Long time... My friend had her baby!!! :D

It's been a long time since I posted! :P Mainly because I don't have "internet" at my apartment... My roomate and I have been in a sense been using a network that is unsecure, but it is something till we can figure out something for us both to afford or we may not get it at all... who knows... I haven't had much of a chance to talk to her because one of her Guy friends is over like every single day and he practically lives at my apartment! It is crazy and almost annoying! But I'm just leaving it up to her to kick him out... because it's in a sense her problem. Because I know she doesn't have interest in him(particularily when it comes to a relationship and especially an eternal Companion). What have I been doing till I figured out how to get into the unsecure wireless network at my apartment? either my parents house... or I go to UVU and go online there for a couple hours or so... pretty much till I am ready to go back to my apartment. But any how, I don't have a car so I can't really just go anywhere I please very easily. I rely on the Public Transportation like crazy, and sometimes it is nice and relieving when I have the motivation to go out and do what ever I want during the day, and not really have to worry about who to tell where I'm going... sometimes it is just more time on my own, because Steph's(my roomate) guy friend is over all the time! And it tends to get a little awkward that when he's over, and I am home, Steph is usually at work or school. Steph is hardly around! :P But yeah.

This is Olivia Kate Jackson my friend Stefanie Grawe's Daughter!!! Isn't she so cute?!!! She was born September 23, 2009. She was 7 lb. 1 oz. and 20 inches long, and born with a head full of hair!!! Holy cow! I Love her hair! I saw her the day after she was born and wow! I didn't want to leave because the feeling in the hospital room was so peacefull! It was so amazing! I met the adoptive parents Valery and Dustinn Jackson and their son Bradshaw(2 years old and one of the cutest little boys I've every seen! :D). When I went to the hospital, I was a little nervous, I can admit because I wasn't sure what Stef's emotions were, I don't know why, but I knew she was having a hard time and was confused and I didn't know when she wanted to have "alone time" with her Daughter before she signed the placement papers(of which happened the day after I saw Olivia, so I was happy and felt humbled that I got to meet Olivia). I met Stef's Case worker Loni, of which is an amazing Lady in of it self, she came in Crutches! Ahh! at the time she had about 3 weeks or so left in the crutches so hopefully she wouldn't have to hobble around in those for too long! And I can relate from when I broke my foot, I had to use crutches for 4 weeks where Loni had to use them for 8. Anyways back in the subject here! Any how, Loni asked if she could talk with Nic and Stefanie alone(Nic is the Biological Dad of Olivia), and Val, Bradshaw, Stefanie's younger sister and I went down to the gift shop! Where I got to get to know Valery a little better and of course cute little Bradshaw! :D When we went back up stairs, Loni was out side talking with Dustinn and Sister Grawe(Stefanie's Mom). And they were talking about post Adoption Group, and what Stefanie (and what other Birth Mom's experience emotionally after giving birth), Loni was talking about how confused Stef might feel and is feeling, but also knowing that Adoption is the right thing, it's just hard for her to deal with(you know what I mean?). And she was telling Sister Grawe to not let Stefanie be in the house for longer than 6 hours(having sleep being the exception) and have her start getting back into "Normal life" again. And giving advice to Val and Dustinn because they were a bit worried that they were being pushy, but Loni said that they were actually doing great because Stef wanted them there! And she loved having them there and what not. But, Loni also told them to listen to stef, because if she says leave her alone then leave her alone, but if she says "wait! Stay!" then stay. And some other things, I don't really remember... Any how, After she gave some helpful advice to Valery and Dustin, I asked "I'm a friend that can't relate to Stef at all, but I want to help support her, and Love her, cause, I know how hard it is for her, but I don't know 'exactly how she feels' I just want to be there for her. What can I do to help her know that she has someone to talk to, just to listen." Loni answered, "you are a very good friend to ask that, you are in Patient mode, because she is confused and trying to get back into a 'normal' schedule as well as finding out who Stefanie is. Just let her know that you are there for her, and that you Love her, and that you'll be there for her when she is ready to hang out with friends, and talk about it." And I'm glad that I heard that, because I don't want to push and say "Hey! you want to go hang out?" and have quote on quote hopes that she'll talk about it! Heck No! I don't want to expect that, I would want to have a great time, and if she feels a comfort to talk about Olivia all the time, and how cute and adorable she is! GREAT! But I will not push her! That is the last thing I want to do, I don't really want to ruin a friendship for being pushy! I care for Stefanie, and she is an amazing friend! I truly do Look up to her for making a decision that will benefit her Daughter's life as well as her's in ways that she can't imagine right now! The Song "Everything to me" by Mark Shultz Explains it all! I Love Stefanie for who she is! She is absolutly amazing, and I hope she realizes that even through her down times! :D

This cute little puppy! Is my Grandpa Bourne's new puppy he got in July named Nemo, cause when they got him his name was Kirby, and my Aunt Celeste's Papillion's name is Kirby so they had to change the name! isn't he so cute! Nemo and Kirby are best friends like crazy! They like to play all the time and are very close!

Any how... I'll try to update my blog a little more often since I'm at my apartment a lot and need something to do! Why not Blog some of the time?
