Trip to California Story

*****I hope you're not eating while reading this Post!*********


Ok... So a couple weeks ago I left to go to California with My Boyfriend Kevin. And talk about an interesting day of traveling! LOL We flew with U.S. Airways, and talk about interesting service... :P Both planes we were on were so bumpy(of course it is common but it felt more bumpy than I remembered... from when I flew with Southwest Airlines). Any ways yeah... I usually don't feel Motion sickness. But I got some huge headaches as well as Kevin... :P When the plane lifted off the ground it felt like we were going up and down...and it was weird! it was the same thing when we were decending... It just wasn't fun... :P Anyways, we get to Pheonix, Arizona, and we have about an hour Layover there, so we decided to go get something to eat, and we chose Pizza Hut... Yeah, we were about half way done with our Pizza's and Kevin brought up a memory of when you get your Food Handler's Permit you have to watch a video and take a test in order to get it(It is an easy 10 Dollar spend!), and yeah... there is a part in the Video where a guy drops the Pizza Dough on the ground, and still uses it! And then I brought up the other person dropping a Pizza Cutter and not rinsing it off or even getting a new clean one to use to cut the pizza... :P Yeah... Lets just say After having that conversation we lost out Appetites(Gee! I wonder Why! :P LOL Yeah... totally not eating at Pizza Hut any more!!! :P) But yeah... after that we still have about 40 Minutes till we needed to Board... So we went to Look at the Gift Store and we ended up finding some childhood Classics(Like An American Tail, An American Tail Fifel goes West, Hercules{of which Kevin hasn't seen yet... Say What?}, and some other movies that we were tempted to buy). He found a Magazine, and I found a Word Search Puzzle! :D He bought the Magazine and some Gum(oh so Jealous with the Gum! :P I can't have gum! :() And I bought the Word Search and Some Altoids Mints! :D Well, the thing that we both noticed was that it was about time to go get on our flight... We get to our gate and they Closed it 12 minutes early before it was supposed to Close!!! :P How Crazy is that! We both had a feeling that we needed to leave while we were looking at the Movies, and We kinda ignored it... :P Gosh Dang it! :P Any ways, we went to get some help cause we really need to get to California and didn't want to stay in Pheonix another minute we were exhausted... So We asked if there was anything they could do. well, While that was happening, there was a guy that was Swearing off a Storm, and saying that "This happens every time I come to pheonix, and it Ticks me off!" And some other bad things! It wasn't helping Kevin's mood, cause he was being as calm as possible(which I was happy, he usually gets kind of frustrated when something doesn't go the way he wants it.... who doesn't? But you know what I mean). Kevin Called his Mom, and She wasn't too happy either, she was trying to tell him to ask them to open up and let us in... But seriously there was nothing that we could have done. And He had trouble telling her that we were able to get on a Later Flight. He hung up and Called his Dad! About a half hour later he called his mom And apologized for the whole thing and that we'll call when we are taking off! We ended up having a 4 hour layover instead of an hour layover! :P But hey! We were able to find our Luggage and get to California! So that was really nice! The Plane to California wasn't as bad as when we went to Pheonix, but it was still kind of bad... It wasn't our day at all! But we watched Jeff Dunham! It was great it distracted us from the Nausea we were feeling... :P


So yeah... interesting Story of our trip to California! LOL

California with Kevin! :D

I've been back from California since Wednesday the 15th. LOL But yeah... I'll post some pictures and some stories! :D


One of the Highlights was where we were one Thunder Mountain for the 4th time and the ride stopped on an incline and we were laughing that we had to be evacuated from the train! LOL And it was pretty much awesome and Kevin of all people suggested to take pictures! LOL He doesn't like getting his picture taken but when he wants to he has a good smile! :D hehehe! :D In the Picture above left to right is Kevin's Mom Andrea Mathews, and his Aunt Debbie.



This is Me and Kevin! I kind of consider this as his "Before" Picture. Because he and his older Brother James got Lasik Surgery the day after(Friday, July 10, 2009) and that was quite entertaining for me! I was able to learn a lot of what they do during the procedure! And I do have to admit... I kind of Scared Kevin enough that he almost didn't do it! And I am glad he did end up doing it, mainly so that he can see so much better! :D Ok, I scared him because I mentioned that they use a little knife(But they don't use a knife they use a different tool... but now I'll keep my mouth shut just in case I scare someone else). Any ways, I'll share more stories later... I got to go to bed now. Good night! :D

I was reading my friend's Blog today, and holy cow! She is one amazing person! So strong and brave to share her feelings, and I can only vent while writing them down in my journal and I haven't really done that in a while it feels like... I don't really remember when the last time it was when I last have written in my journal. But I think I'll do that tonight before going to bed... I need to start up with the habit again. Come thou Font of Every Blessing

Holy Cow Tonight was so amazing!!! I went to Sister Madsen's house and got to play for her and her family to help give them comfort! Music is so amazing that way because it is so therapeutic and when you play you think thing through to the point where you don't think of any thing at all you just concentrate on the music! Especially when you listen to it also! :D Like I said on the last post she has cancer and doesn't know how long she has to live because of the cancer has reached her heart! Pretty much every body in the room was in tears or teary eyed! And the spirit guided me on this one! The person that contacted me to pick a couple pieces to play, she suggested to play America the Beautiful, and Abide with me tis even tide. But when I was looking at my book of hymns that I can play on my Viola. I saw Come thou font of every blessing and had a feeling that I needed to play it! And as it turns out it is one of her favorite hymns!!! :D Talk about amazing! I have loved this hymn since I was like twelve and it is still one of my favorites to give me some comfort when I am down in the dumps! :D After I played it! They asked me to play Come thou font again! And by the time I was done playing it, everybody was either in tears or teary eyed! It was a great experience! :D

Happy Fourth of July!!! :D

Happy Fourth of July everybody!!! :D Celebrating our Nation's Birthday! I am so excited for this weekend mainly because, I get to spend some time with my family, and play a couple games and visit! :D Yesterday, I got a call from someone that used to be in my ward before it split when I was 12. She was telling me about a Lady that was my young women leader for a little bit(literally a week pretty much then the ward split), and I found out that she has Terminal Cancer, that she is missing one of her lungs, some of her ribs, and it has reached her heart, and the Doctors pretty much told her that they have nothing else to do to help her battle the cancer! :( This person is so sweet! She always had a smile on her face when I saw her at church! :D She always was so welcoming! :D And seriously the nicest person, and talk about so kind! :D The person that called me about this incredible lady, is setting up musical numbers to help comfort her (Musical Therapy is pretty much awesome! :D), she has had people Sing, Sing and Do American Sign Language, and probably some other things. And she doesn't even know about who is setting up the musical numbers! It is awesome! So yesterday, My neighbor that is setting up the musical numbers, asked me to play my Viola tomorrow! I asked to see if I can do it after work since I work 4-8 tomorrow! The pieces I chose to play for tomorrow are: "America the Beautiful" And "Come thou Font of Every Blessing." There are for sure going to be some shedding of tears I just know it! The suggested pieces were America the Beautiful, and also, "Abide with me tis eventide" And when I was going to practice the pieces I thought of Come thou Font and knew that it was a perfect piece! That beautiful piece has helped me have peace in my life, and I know it has helped other people too! Music does that to you! And thinking about it... in my patriarchal blessing it says that "I'll be able to reach people's hearts in ways that I can never imagine!" And this is one of those ways! And it is going to be so amazing! I am so excited! :D

My day has been pretty good for the most part...

So today, I had an interview with Urban wear at the University Mall! Holy Cow that place has some cute stuff! :D I think I did pretty well, and feel positive that I could get the job! They'll start me at minimum wage but they give raises periodically. Well, when I got home... I was kind of feeling down in the dumps. And I saw that a friend of mine did a new post on her blog hopefully the link I put up at the top of the blog post works so you might be able to go to it. I look up to this girl like crazy! She is one amazing friend of mine I've known since I was like 9 years old! :D Right now she is going through a hard time. She is single and pregnant. And placing her Daughter in adoption to one amazing family! :D And she had a quote from One of President Kimball's talks (the Power of Forgiveness). Holy Cow talk about amazing! I Look up to her like crazy. And I can't even explain how much of an influence she has been to me in my life! :D She is Due in September! I am so dang excited for her! Because of the fact that she is making her life for the better! :D She looks so Happy every time I'm around her (other than the ucky Hormones and mood swings you get during the pregnancy). I'm sure you know what I mean! :D
